Import content in WordPress in 4 simple steps for first time and in 2 simple steps from the 2nd time onwards. You need to install a plugin and later you can uninstall it, when done with the job.
Step 1: Login to WordPress Dashboard and navigate to Tools > Import Menu.
Step 2: you can see a list of available plugins to import content.

Step 3: Click on “WordPress” and you will be redirected to “WordPress Importer” plugin. Install and activate that plugin. You can also manually install that WordPress plugin by going to WordPress Importer official plugin page.

Step 4: That page will be automatically refreshed and you can see the import option. Browse and select the .XML file, import it by click on the below button.

Once done with these steps refresh you WordPress dashboard and you can see all imported posts, pages etc. Now, you have successfully imported content from .XMl file and lets see hot to export the same.

Exporting of Posts, Pages in WordPress is damn easy and all you have to do is, just click on “Export Download File”. A .XML file with all your content will be generated and will be available for instant download.
